[origin: WO0138617A1] The invention relates to a card clothing for a textile machine that comprises a plurality of needles or saw-toothed stampings disposed in rows in a side-by-side spaced-apart relation. Said needles or saw-toothed stampings are embossed and have a non-rectangular cross-section geometry. The spaced-apart needles or saw-toothed stampings define a free passage between them for the fibers to be combed, said free passage (A) continually widening in the direction of travel of the fiber strip.
