Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2801326A1] The pulper has a vessel (1), with an outlet (3) at the base to extract the loosened fibers from the used paper/cardboard material. The vessel has at least one rotor (5) to break down the feed material, which can be set at different height levels within the vessel. The height levels within the vessel, from the top, are a wetting zone (A) to soften the feed material and a rotor in the next level (B) rips the material into shreds. The wetting zone has at least two vertical pistons to break the paper/cardboard bales completely, before the released material enters the shredding zone. At least one rotor is at the fiber break-down zone (C) and a rotor is at a lower zone (D) to break down any clumps, fitted with separate teeth. The rotors are each on their own axis (4,6,7), parallel to the vessel wall, each covering the whole of their zones in the vessel. The vessel can have an oblong shape, with at least two rotors on two axes, parallel to the vessel wall, which covers the rotors. The rotors can be offset, where their rotary axes overlap. Stators are fitted between the rotors.
