The blind riveting gun has a pneumatic drive to feed the rivet shafts through a sensor (3) to detect if it has a pre fitted rivet head (9) or not. The sensor can be mounted on the nozzle head (12) of the riveter. The sensor can control air pressure feed to the riveter depending on the state of the rivet.

Damit bei einem Nietsetzgerät (1) mit einer pneumatischen Einrichtung (10,21,22,23,24,25) zum Abtransportieren abgerissener Nietstifte, durch welche abgerissene Nietstifte abtransportierbar sind, der Verbrauch an Druckluft bzw. Energie weiter verbessert wird, ist vorgesehen, daß die pneumatische Einrichtung (10,21,22,23,24,25) zum Abtransportieren abgerissener Nietstifte durch eine Sensoreinrichtung (13) steuerbar ist, welche das Vorhandensein oder das Nichtvorhandensein eines Nietstiftes eines Niets (9) erfaßt. <IMAGE>
