Mechanical clockwork assembly, especially for wrist or pocket watches has a mechanical oscillation system and a mechanical escapement with an escapement wheel (1) and an anchor (3). The functional elements of the escapement wheel are at least partially coated on their operating surfaces with a DLC (diamond like carbon) coating. An Independent claim is made for a mechanical clockwork assembly, especially for wrist or pocket watches with plate, plate element and balance-wheel arbor where the contact surfaces of the moving parts are coated with DLC.
