[origin: US6650514B2] a protective circuit for a fluorescent lamp includes a third resistor (R3) that bridges a decoupling capacitor (C2), and a fourth resistor (R4) that connects a first reference point (A) to a positive pole of a DC voltage source (UZ), the resistors being selected such that the reference points are at the same potential without the fluorescent lamp inserted.
