Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0140074A1] The invention relates to a butt- ended bag (1) made from a heat-sealable or weldable plastic film. Said bag is used to receive liquid or pasty items and is provided with two side walls (2,3) which are joined to each other on the longitudinal edges thereof. A foldable bottom part (10) acting as a butt-ended bottom is inserted between the side walls on the lower end of the butt-ended bag between the lower transverse edges, and a foldable cover (11) is located on the upper end of the butt-ended bag. Said bag also has an extraction opening between the upper transverse edge of a first side wall and the corresponding edge of the cover. A closing element is inserted into the extraction opening (12). In order to empty the butt-ended bag in a better and simpler manner, the closing element (20) can be buckled over and is maintained by a device for stabilizing and retaining said closing element when it is buckled over into a forwards position.
