[origin: EP1234685A2] Binding element (10) used for binding sets (20) of folded sheets consisting of at least one folded sheet (21) comprises a book spine element (11) fixed to a support element (12) on which the sets of folded sheets are individually fixed. An Independent claim is also included for a device comprising the above binding element for binding folded sheets produced by a printing machine, especially a digital printing machine. Preferred Features: The book spine element is coated with an adhesive (13). The support element is paper, plastic film, wire mesh, or fabric.
