Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1234794A2] The folding apparatus has a first roller (14) with a gripper (32) for holding signatures and a folding blade (37) for producing a fold in it. A second roller (15) is fitted with a pocket (38) which holds the signature at the fold. A first motor (170) drives the gripper and a second motor (180) drives the folding blade and pocket. E- Independent claims are included for: (a) a method for cutting and folding printed products using the apparatus; and (b) a web-fed rotary printing machine fitted with it.
