[origin: EP1234796A1] Lift system comprises one or more bearer cables (4) driving the lift (1) and connecting the lift to a counterweight (2), a weight counterbalance element (7, 8) counterbalancing the lift and the counterweight, and at least one lift cable (16) provided with a supply and/or functional control line for the lift. The lift and the counterweight each have at least one weight counterbalance element. The weight counterbalance element (7) of the lift is combined with the lift cable.
