Abstract (en)
In a process to remove impurities from raw cotton fibres, the mixture of fibres and impurities advance along a path (4) where it is exposed to a sensor array located upstream of a separator (6) removing impurities and surrounding fibres. The separator acts by imparting an impulse transverse to the path (4). The impulse is imparted especially by a solid or liquid phase. Also claimed is a commensurate assembly in which the fleece advances along the path in loose form. The sensor imparts a signal which his proportional in intensity and duration to the volume and mass of the impurity. The impulse is imparted by a jet (8) whose position is adjusted in accordance with the position of the impurity. The jet is a liquid e.g. water or a granular substance e.g. powder. The separator forms part of a textile carding assembly or between the drum stripper and fibre tray.

Das Ausscheiden von Fremdstoffen erfolgt nach dem Erkennen mittels einer Sensoranordnung (5) dadurch, dass die verunreinigte Teilmenge des Fasermaterials mit einem vorzugsweise flüssigen Wirkmedium (7) beaufschlagt und dadurch aus der Vorschubbahn (4) ausgelenkt wird. Das Ausscheiden mittels einer Flüssigkeit erfolgt besonders vorteilhaft im Bereich der Karde. <IMAGE>
