A biometric sensing device wherein the biometric data, collected by a biometric sensor, is combined into a data word with a time signal, indicating the time at which the biometric data was collected and/or a position signal indicating the position at which the biometric data was collected. The thus formed data word is stored during a predetermined time period in order to enable a verification with subsequently generated data words. <IMAGE>
