[origin: WO0141604A1] The invention relates to a support rod arrangement for hanging articles or fixing a rack. A support rod (2) may be inserted in a socket (1), mounted on a support structure (3). The support rod (2) comprises a rod section (20) and an inserting plate (21), arranged on the first end (200) of the support rod (20). The socket (1) comprises a mounting flange (10), a window-like socket opening and, internally, an upper and a lower undercut. The inserting plate (21) is of greater height than the socket opening and may only be inserted, through the socket opening, in a tilted position. After inserting the insertion plate (21), the upper edge (210) thereof rests behind the upper undercut. Only after aligning and then displacing the insertion plate in a downwards direction does the lower edge thereof engage with the lower undercut. The socket opening is arranged in a sleeve piece, which is proud of the level of the mounting flange (10). The mounting flange (10) lies on the reverse side (31) of the support structure (3), in the assembled state, whilst the sleeve piece projects through an opening (32), prepared in the support structure (3). A cover (4) may be inserted in the socket opening, for finishing the sleeve piece, which further permits the insertion and removal of the support rod (2), by means of the insertion plate (21) thereof. Few operations are required for insertion or removal of the support rod (2). The rear-facing mounting of the socket and the front side cover (4) thereof, permit a visually discrete installation. The support rod arrangement is suitable as a fitting for an individual mounting as well as for the construction of a shop arrangement with complex individual design and of variable use.
