Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2799120A1] The material comprises: (a) at least one zirconium alkoxide, (b) at least one UV-A organic solar filter with maximum absorption wavelength below 370 nm, (c) at least one functionalized organic polymer or its precursor, or functionalized silicone polymer or its precursor, d) at least one solvent, and (d) sufficient water quantity for partial and/or total hydrolysis of zirconium alkoxide and its condensation. The material has maximum absorption wavelength 370-400 nm. Independent claims are also included for: (i) a process of moving maximum absorption wavelength ( lambda max) of UV-A organic solar filter from its original level below 370 nm to the spectrum range 370-400 nm, comprising associating the filter with the sol material (comprising components (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) as described) as claimed, with zirconium alkoxide (a) preferably mixed with solution of polymer (c) before the addition of solar filter (b); and (ii) a cosmetic and/or dermatological composition comprising 1-99 (preferably 5-60) wt.% of material as claimed, optionally in form of particles obtained by drying and grinding, of particle size 0.1-20 (preferably 0.1-10) nm, and optional additive selected from other organic solar filters, bronzing and/or artificial tanning agents, pigments, fats, organic solvents, thickeners and antioxidants.
