[origin: WO0141998A1] The invention relates to a transmission gearbox for a twin screw extruder. The inventive gearbox consists of a) an inner frame construction (1 to 6) comprising at least two frame segments (1 to 4) that are arranged in parallel in relation to each other, bores of the bearing (1a to 1g) that are arranged therein and are used for the individual gear shafts and gear wheels (8 to 14) and at least two connecting struts (5, 6) that are arranged parallel to the axis thereof and are used for connecting the frame segments (1 to 6) and b) a one-piece or multi-piece, at least oil-proof outer cap (7) that is detachably connected to the inner frame construction (1 to 6) in such a way that operating forces of the inner frame construction (1 to 6) are not transmitted to the outer cap (7).
