[origin: WO0142097A2] The invention relates to a method for reducing the friction between newly manufactured and/or newly washed transport drums and transport installations. Said method comprises applying an agent, to at least one part of the surface of the drum, before said drum is placed on the transport installation. Said agent comprises at least one component, which possesses lubricating properties. The invention further relates to drums which have, on at least one part of their external surface, a film or coating, which contains lubricating components, in order to reduce the friction during transportation on transport installations and to installations which are suitable for the transport of drums of the above type and can be laid out to advantage.
