[origin: US2004221673A1] According to the invention a travelling mechanism for overhanging working devices, especially for a building crane, comprising a chassis on which the working device can be mounted or is mounted and which is provided with at least one wheel axle or wheels. This travelling mechanism is designed in such a way that (a) during manoeuvring the working device can be horizontally turned with regard to the at least one wheel axle and can be fixed with regard to the chassis in two or more different turning positions, and/or (b) a plurality of wheel axles which can be steered independently of one another are provided on the chassis.
