[origin: WO0142671A1] The invention relates to a guide rail for a linear bearing comprising several through openings (7), which originate from the top side (4) of the rail, which are arranged one behind the other at intervals, and which are provided for receiving fastening elements. The inventive guide rail also comprises a longitudinal channel (2) which extends over the entire length of the guide rail (3) and which is open toward the top side (4) of the rail. In addition, the guide rail is provided with a covering strip (1), which outwardly occludes the through openings (7) and which is inserted and fastened in said longitudinal channel (2). According to the invention, the longitudinal channel (2) is delimited by a bottom channel wall (5) and by two lateral walls (6) diagonally rising therefrom. In the cross-section of the guide rail (3), the bottom channel wall (5) forms an obtuse angle with each lateral wall (6), whereby two wall channels in the guide rail (3), which originate from the longitudinal channel (2), are configured on the lateral walls (6) such that they extend in the longitudinal direction thereof. The covering strip (1) is inserted and held with the longitudinal edges thereof in said wall channels. According to the invention, the covering strip (1) is provided with a rectangular cross-section and is supported on the guide rail (3) inside the wall channels with its lower longitudinal edges and upper longitudinal edges.
