[origin: WO0143290A1] The invention relates to a turbo code decoder with channel parameter estimation. The inventive turbo code decoder is equipped with a weighting circuit (4) and with a first channel decoder (18) for generating reliability information data according to the received systematic information data, to a first redundancy data sequence and to a deinterleaved extrinsic information data sequence. The inventive decoder additionally comprises a turbo code interleaver (22) for interleaving the generated reliability information data, and comprises a second channel decoder (24) for generating the extrinsic information sequence that is fed back to the first channel decoder (18) in a deinterleaved manner via a first turbo code deinterleaver (29). The inventive decoder is also provided for generating probability relationship data, which is output in a deinterleaved manner via a second turbo code deinterleaver (31) to a threshold value decision circuit (33) for generating estimated value data. The inventive turbo code decoder is also equipped with a turbo code coding circuit (9) for turbo coding the generated estimated value data and is equipped with a comparison circuit (11), which compares the turbo coded estimated value data with the turbo coded received data and, according to the comparison result, iteratively adjusts the estimated channel parameter for weighting the turbo coded received data.
