[origin: WO0143349A2] In packet-oriented communication networks the information to be sent is transmitted, from the transmitter to the receiver, in the form of packets. Herewith, essentially three medium access methods are used (TDMA, FDMA, CDMA). The current state of the art permits only static choice of one, or a combination of these medium access methods. A dynamic selection of medium access method is disclosed, whereby the momentarily, least-used resource on the transmission device is selected, in order to better utilise the network resources.
