[origin: US2002116838A1] Impinging stream dryer and process for drying a fibrous material web that includes an air-permeable, endlessly circulating support belt structured and arranged to support a side of the fibrous material web, a device for impinging an opposite side of the fibrous material web with an impinging stream, and a belt cooling device arranged to cool at least an edge zone of said support belt that is directly impinged with the impinging stream.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Prallströmtrockner zur Trocknung einer Papier-, Karton-, Tissue- oder einer anderen Faserstoffbahn (1), bei dem die Faserstoffbahn (1) einseitig mit einer Heißluft-und/oder Heißdampfprallströmung beaufschlagt wird und sich mit der gegenüberliegenden Seite auf einem luftdurchlässigen, endlos umlaufenden Stützband (2) abstützt. Dabei wird eine thermische Schädigung des Stützbandes (2) auch bei sich ändernder Bahnbreite der Faserstoffbahn (1) dadurch verhindert, daß zumindest die mit der Heißluft-und/oder Heißdampfprallströmung direkt beaufschlagte Randzone des Stützbandes (2) gekühlt wird. <IMAGE>
