[origin: EP1237167A2] A vessel-shaped object (10) like a drinks flask, glass, beaker, cup, plate, vase or similar made out of glass, plastic or similar transparent or translucent material has a body (11) and a concave bottom or foot (13). Outside in the curve of the bottom or foot, a low voltage lighting unit is inserted. The lighting unit has a retaining element (21) on which a lamp body (26), for example an LED, is held. A switch, preferably a microswitch, is provided in the curve of the bottom or foot. The switch is arranged on the retaining element and is accessible from its under side.
