[origin: WO0110557A1] The invention relates to a method for processing wastes according to which wastes are processed in a biological manner, e.g. converted into compost, dried, reduced to an intermediate size (5) and sifted. The aim of the invention is to improve such a method through additional screening (7) of the screen oversized fraction (15), especially in a zigzag separator, in order to separate paper and/or plastic materials, especially paper sheets and/or plastic sheets (8).
