[origin: WO0144356A2] The invention relates to a method for producing a component (1) from a glass/polymer mixture. According to said method, a component is formed from a mixture of a thermoplastic with a processing temperature T1 and first glass particles with saturated surface bonds and a glass temperature T2 < T1, at a temperature T3 >T1. By melting the first glass particles, second glass particles are produced with surface bonds which can be saturated. Said bonds are saturated by being bonded to the thermoplastic. The component produced by this method has the advantage that it is resistant to abrasion and has good tribological characteristics. The invention also relates to the use of the component which has been produced by said method in electromechanical functional units, e.g. relays.
