Said component comprises first regions, in which the glass is present substantially in the form of spherical particles (2) and second regions, in which the glass is present in the form of fibre-type particles (3). A component of this type advantageously provides both mechanical stability and dimensional consistency in separate areas within the same component. The invention also relates to a method for producing a component of this type.
