Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1238709A2] The working tip of the pistol incorporates a high voltage electrode (32) centrally mounted in the spray nozzle (34) to apply an electrostatic charge to the stream of powder (36). The powder passes through a tube (38) held in an earthed (50) sleeve (42). There is an insulated section (76) upstream of the sleeve. A screening coil (90) surrounds the end of the hose (84) for the powder.
