A rotor for pneumatic engine includes a shaft (3) having a drum (2) with a plurality of sectors (4) divided by a plurality of seats (5) for vanes (13). <??>The external portion of each sector (4), has a cavity (6) with a wall (7) that is approximately orthogonal to the direction of a compressed air flow (F), in a facing condition (A), in which the cavity (6) faces an outlet (8) of an inlet duct (9). <??>The wall (7) is fit to increase the engine torque. <IMAGE>
