[origin: WO0146528A1] The actuating device for the drain valve (80) is provided with a switching device (72) which is located in a housing (4) that can be fixed to the cover (2) of the cistern (1). An actuating button (7, 8) is mounted in the housing (4). Said button interacts with a pivoting lever (39, 40) to open the drain valve (80) and has a depressor organ (11, 15) which projects downwards. The depressor organ (11, 15) engages with a depressor lever (19, 20) that is mounted in the housing (4) and the depressor organ (11, 15) is adjustably connected to said depressor lever (19, 20). The device is particularly suitable for ceramic cisterns and can be easily adapted to different wall-thicknesses of the cistern cover.
