Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1241120A2] The method involves transporting the object past a sensor device, preferably a light barrier (4), to detect and register the leading edge of the object in the transport direction. After detecting the leading edge of the object at least one check is made of whether the object is still present in the sensor's measurement range. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for detecting presence of object, preferably sheet object for printing.
