Abstract (en)
A method for the cathodic protection of a metal structure with the aid of a protective current obtained by the polarization of the structure by a sacrificial anode has the potential of the structure regulated by subjecting a circuit connecting the anode to the structure to some periodic cycles of opening and closing of the circuit in order to modulate the protective current. An Independent claim is also included for an installation for putting this method of cathodic protection into service.

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé pour la protection cathodique d'une structure métallique (1) à l'aide d'un courant de protection obtenu par polarisation de ladite structure au moyen d'au moins une anode sacrificielle (2), caractérisé en ce qu'on régule le potentiel de la structure en soumettant un circuit reliant l'anode à la structure à des cycles périodiques d'ouverture et de fermeture dudit circuit pour maintenir le potentiel de la structure égal à une valeur prédéterminée, en modulant le courant de protection. <IMAGE>
