Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to a thermoplastic bicomponent fiber consisting of (a) a first component which consists of polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, or nylon, and (b) a second component which is olefinic and which forms at least a portion of the fiber's surface, wherein the second component (b) comprises a blend of at least one grafted linear high density polyethylene or linear low density polyethylene having pendant succinic acid or anhydride groups with a high density polyethylene.
