The refrigeration or freezing appliances are designed so that the refrigerant circuit has a sound absorber (10) in the region of the evaporator (9). The sound absorber (10) has a damper element in the inside of the refrigerant circuit. The sound damper (10) is arranged at the mouth of a choke (11) connected between the evaporator (9) and the compressor (1), especially at the capillary mouth (14) of a capillary tube (11) of the refrigerant circuit.

Kühl- und/oder Gefriergeräte mit einem Kältemittelkreislauf, der einen Verdampfer (9), einen Kompressor (1) und einen Verflüssiger (8) aufweist, verursachen üblicherweise durch das Ein- und Ausschalten des Kompressors (1) als störend empfundene Geräusche. Zur Dämpfung der im Verdampfer (9) entstehenden Schallemissionen weist der Kältemittelkreislauf im Bereich des Verdampfers (9) einen Schalldämpfer (10) auf. <IMAGE>
