Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0146497A2] The invention relates to a method for electrochemically reducing reducible dyes by bringing said reducible dye into contact with a cathode. Said cathode comprises a support consisting of an electrically conductive material and an electrically conductive, cathodically polarised layer which has been formed in situ by deposition. The method is characterised in that the electrochemical reduction is carried out in the presence of a base.
