[origin: WO0146631A1] The invention relates to a defrost water collecting tray (21) disposed in a coolant compressor (14) having an upper housing part (18) and a lower housing part (17), comprising a defrost water collecting chamber (23), which is defined by a bottom of a tray (22) and a tray wall (24) peripherally surrounding the bottom of the tray (22). In order to enable the assembly of a unit comprising a defrost water collecting tray (21) and a compressor (14) disposed in a compressor compartment (12), the free edge of the tray (25) of the defrost water collecting tray (21) is arranged substantially at the same height as the highest segment of the upper housing part (18), whereby the unit comprising a compressor (14) and a defrost water collecting tray (21) corresponds approximately to the overall height of the compressor (14).
