Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1243239A2] Height-adjustable support column of a treatment table comprises a column sleeve (1) on which an adjustable lying surface is positioned, and a height-adjusting device (3) adjusting the column sleeve relative to two fixed column cores (4, 5). The height-adjusting device has two first telescopic tubes (6, 7) positioned in a height-adjustable manner on the column cores, and two second telescopic tubes (9) fixed in the inner side of the column sleeve and movably positioned on the outer sides of the two first telescopic tubes. During upward adjustment of the height of the column sleeve, the two second telescopic tubes are initially moved with the column sleeve along the outer sides of the first telescopic tubes, and on further upward movement the first telescopic tubes are moved by carriers (10) along the two column cores. Preferred Features: The carriers are formed as stops provided on the first telescopic tubes. A connecting element (11) connects the lower ends of the first telescopic tubes.
