The device has a base body consisting of at least an image screen (4), a funnel body (3) and a parabolic region (2). The base body contains at least one preferred breakage point (9) in the form of a change in stiffness in the material of the base body. The preferred breakage point can be a narrowing in the cross-section of the material if the base body, e.g. a groove or perforation.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kathodenstrahlröhre mit einem Grundkörper, der zumindest von einem Bildschirm, einem Trichterkörper und einem Parabelbereich gebildet ist. Zur Verbesserung des Implosionsschutzes ist es erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass in den Grundkörper zumindest eine Sollbruchstelle eingebracht ist. <IMAGE>
