Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0134394A1] A simple and inexpensive direct, computer to plate (CTP) method for producing an offset lithographic plate in a process employing a novel inkjet fluid that, while giving excellent jetting properties with high consistency and quality, can be easily dried on an uncoated lithographic plate. The inkjet fluid has a perselected viscosity and comprises a two-phase emulsion system: an oleophilic inner phase and a continuous, aqueous, external phase. Controlling the viscosity of the inkjet fluid enables controlling the dot size of the fluid deposited on the printing surface, resulting in a high quality, robust printed image even after many runs of the offset press.
