[origin: WO0144121A1] The invention relates to the used of coated formed bodies, comprising a coating with wetting properties, for solar desalination plants. Said solar desalination plants comprise coated formed bodies, made from transparent thermoplastic plastics, which may be produced by coating a section of the formed body surface, or the total formed body surface, with a coating agent, comprising a) 0.005 to 2 parts by weight of a compound of formula (1), b) 1 to 20 parts by weight of a water insoluble oxide or several water insoluble oxides of a metal, or a semi-metal and c) 80 to 100 parts by weight of a mixture of an acid and water, which may comprise more than 90 % water.
