[origin: EP1245338A2] The pliers comprises male and female arms with toothed jaws with a lug which slides between and engages them and slides in a longitudinal toothed (9) window in one of the jaws. The two arms are connected by a rod and an opening spring which unites the rod to one of the arms. This arm comprises an additional spring (m), opposing the opening spring, located in the lug and against the surface (31) of the window opposite the teeth of this window.
