Abstract (en)
A crown cork (1) which is particularly for use in the secondary fermentation of sparkling wine such as champagne. The crown (1) has a laminated liner (15) which is slightly larger in the diameter than the internal diameter of the metal shell (12). The liner (15) is pushed into the shell (12) and heat sealed into position by induction heating, for example. <IMAGE>
