Valve drive comprises at least one driven cam element (2) rotatably arranged in a flexible enclosing element and a cam follower element (10), especially a valve lifter. The enclosing element is pressed by a force acting against valve opening into a concave transition region (73) provided between the base circle region (71) and the cam region (72) of the cam element. Preferred Features: The base circle region of the cam element and a central part (76) of its cam region have a common central curve point lying in the axis (8) of the cam region. The enclosing element has a projection (74) protruding inwardly toward the cam element at the connecting point (12) with the cam follower element.

Ein Ventiltrieb für Brennkraftmaschinen weist mindestens ein angetriebenes Nockenelement (2) und ein vom Nockenelement (2) verschieb- oder verschwenkbares Nockenfolgeelement (10) aufweist. Das Nockenelement (2) ist drehbar in einem flexiblen Umschließungselement (4) angeordne, das mit dem Nockenfolgeelement (10) beweglich verbunden ist. Zwischen dem Grundkreisbereich (71) und dem Nockenbereich (72) des Nockenelementes (2) ist ein konkaver Übergangsbereich (73) vorgesehen, in den das Umschließungselement (4) durch eine der Ventilöffnung entgegenwirkende Kraft eindrückbar ist. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
