[origin: WO0204780A1] The invention relates to a tail piece for closing off the sides of hollow-profile rods of roll gate lamellae. Said tail piece comprises a tail element (13) covering the lateral edge area of a rod (1), and a retainer element (12) that is disposed at a substantially right angle to the tail element (13). Said retainer element can be linked with the rod (1) in a form-fit by snap-in elements (23) provided on the retainer element (13) on both sides facing the rod fronts (2, 3). Said snap-in elements are elastically locked in corresponding openings (11) in the rod fronts (2, 3). In order for the tail piece to sit safely on the pertaining rod end and to avoid jamming, said tail piece is configured in such a manner that the retainer element (12), in the state in which it is inserted in the hollow-profile rod and engages with its snap-in elements (23) in the corresponding openings (11) of the rod front walls (2, 3), is supported on the pertaining lateral rod edge area via the tail element (13) and via a spring-elastic zone (41, 54, 55) that is increasingly deformed when the retainer element (12) is inserted, thereby providing a corresponding spring-elastic bracing.
