Abstract (en)
On an umbrella having a tubular sleeve sliding along wooden stem(10)spring loaded engaging members(50)are inserted into the stem at axially aligned upper canopy frame extended and lower collapsed canopy positions of a sliding sleeve to engage a through hole in the sleeve securing it in the user selected position where when desired to extend or collapse the canopy the head of the engaging member is pressed inward allowing sleeve movement as required. Preferred features;The sleeve may be provided with a flat pressing member with a protrusion to facilitate pressing and releasing the member.
