Abstract (en)
The longitudinal edge profile (3) of a first extruded panel or plank (1) has two inwardly inclined resilient flaps (7,8) and a central tongue (5) with snap ledge (14). The engaging profile (4) on the opposite edge of a second panel (2) has lead-in faces (10,11) to a tongue-locking cavity (6) with a snap shoulder (13). Sufficient space for expansion/contraction movement in cavity (6) is provided when flaps (7,8) are biased against the lead-in flanks (10,11) when tongue (5) is engaged. The angle between flaps (7,8) and and the inclined flanks (10,11) of panel (2) provide a V-joint features.
