Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1248162A2] Pre-heater (40) for a fixer assembly (10) comprises a housing with a heater element arranged inside its inner chamber. A ventilation system has a dividing chamber between the ventilator fan and the heating element. In the transport path (P) adjacent to the chamber opening is an impact element. An impact chamber is placed in the flow direction between the heater and the impact element with an air return path between the chamber opening and the fan. An Independent claim is made for a fixer assembly (10) with a transport path (P) for an image pattern on a receiver element. The pre-heater is provided to partially warm the pigment particles of the pattern on the receiver element.
