[origin: WO0152635A1] Disclosed is a pouch for a roll-up or a roll-off animal leash, especially for a dog. The animal leash (2) can be automatically rolled up in a housing (1) with the aid of a spring mechanism. The output length of the animal leash (2) can be controlled by a manually operated brake. The leash is provided with a bag part (5) which receives the housing (1) and a belt (13) which is joined to the bag part (5) for securing to a support.
