Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0154073A1] Passwords consisting in symbols selected from a third set of third symbols, whereof a first set constitutes a subset of first symbols, can be created from a data structure. The invention concerns a method for obtaining said structure comprising the following steps: preparing a second set of at least two second symbols; creating a first number of first lists of first symbols each contained in a third list consisting of third symbols; creating a second list of second symbols, each symbol appearing only once in said list; associating a first list with each symbol of a second list; associating a second symbol with each symbol of the first lists. With the use of said structure (27), it is possible to create numerous pseudo-random passwords by using a code comprising a second symbol, a sub-code of at least a first symbol and a path (51) for reading the symbols in the third lists of the structure from the first symbol found by using the second symbol and the sub-code.
