The mechanism to move heavy counterweights (1), e.g. at movable barriers, traffic signs and the like, has a moving chassis (3) with at least one rotating roller (2). An operating lever (5) is mounted to at least one axis at a swing lever (4) of the chassis between a rest position when swung in, and a moving setting against a limit stop. The assembly has an offset center of gravity (a) which pivots around an axis (6) at the counterweight. In the moving position, the counterweight has a limit stop (8) for the operating lever or the swing lever.

Es wird eine Vorrichtung zur Handhabung von Beschwerungsgewichten (1), insbesondere für Absperrungen, Verkehrszeichen oder Hinweisschilder mit einem Fahrwerk (3), das wenigstens einen um eine Laufachse drehbaren Rollkörper (2) aufnimmt, beschrieben. Um vorteilhafte Konstruktionsbedingungen zu schaffen, wird vorgeschlagen, daß die an wenigstens einem Schwenkhebel (4) des Fahrwerkes (3) gelagerte Laufachse mit Hilfe eines Betätigungshebels (5) zwischen einer eingeschwenkten Ruhelage und einer anschlagbegrenzten Fahrstellung verschwenkbar ist. <IMAGE>
