Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2823255A1] The exhaust manifold comprises a flange (3) for fixing onto the cylinder head. The flange comprises a localized zone (38) which has a noticeable weakening relative to other parts of the flange so as to break during the first moments of engine operation. This weakening is obtained by making a V-shaped notch (37).
