[origin: WO0151749A1] The invention relates to a frame construction for mounting a window (1) or the like in a wall construction or the like comprising sandwich elements (2, 2'), in which construction one edge of the element is provided with a tongue structure (4) and the opposite edge of the element is provided with a corresponding groove structure (5), and which frame construction is formed by a profile structure (3) encasing the window. The invention is characterised in that the lower batten (6) of the frame construction includes a fitting part (6'), which fits in the tongue structure (4) in the upper edge of the element, and advantageously a cover flange (6"), and that in a corresponding way, the upper batten (7) includes a fitting part (7'), which fits in the groove structure (5) of the element.
