[origin: WO0155681A1] A device for dispensing a measured dose of liquid from an attached container has an elongate casing (20) defining a dispensing cylinder (26), one end (21) of the casing (20) being adapted for mounting on the container. A plurality of dose indications are provided on the external surface of the casing (20), so that a dose may be pre-selected by moving a dose setting collar (27) along the casing (20), until aligned with a chosen dose indication. The collar (27) has a stop (47) engageable with a selected one of a multiplicity of recesses (36) provided along the length of the casing (20), to secure the collar (27) at the required position. A plunger (23) having a piston (25) co-operating with a cylinder (26) defined by the casing (20) is movable to lift the piston (25) from said one end (21) of the casing until the piston abuts the dose setting collar (27), so charging the dispenser. Depression of the plunger (23) to move the piston (25) back to said one end (21) dispenses the selected dose from an outlet port (22) adjacent said one end (21).
